I’m stuck on 6.5 for Writing

For so many students, the only standing between them and their goal of overseas work, study or immigration is a 7+ in Writing.  All too often, IELTS score results look like this:

Listening:  8

Reading:  7

Writing: 6.5

Speaking:  7

Quite understandably, students who receive such a score are looking for only one thing; a way to break the 7 barrier for Writing.

Some of you may have seen my guided sample essays, where I explain writing strategies as I progressively build an IELTS essay.  I am pleased to advise that I have now developed a teaching course based on this approach.

On 1 July, 2018 I will launch the first 30-day Writing Workshop program, designed specifically for students looking to move from a 6 score in Writing to a 7 or 7.5.  The program is intensive, focuses exclusively on Task 2, and contains specific instructions on exactly how to write an essay that will score 7+.

In the Writing Workshop you will learn:

  • How to structure essays for a 7+TA score.
  • How to write introductions for each question type
  • How to write body paragraphs for each question type
  • How to write conclusions for each question type
  • How to correctly use complex sentences
  • How to create cohesion
  • How to maximise your existing vocabulary
  • How to avoid grammar mistakes

The first 18 days of the program will be instruction supported by exercises.  For the final 12 days, you will practice implementing what you have learned by preparing and submitting a full Task 2 essay each day for review and scoring.

For this first month, the cost of the Writing Workshop is $50.  You can register for free and participate in the first seven days of the program before deciding if you wish to continue.

To register, simply contact me by email or on Messenger.

Registrations for the July program will close on 30 June, 2018.
